| Ok so I am getting some slack and flack on the Astros. Let me
tell you something, those games were CLOSE and we came very close to
winning both. We have proven to the White Sox that we are not
going to sit back and be "beaten" or "walked on" and that we plan to
"fight" for this. We have three "home games" so to speak and it
is well known that the Astros do well at home. I feel we will win
the next three, loose the 6th and take it in the 7th game.
I understand the whole "curse" or "wrong" thing with the Sox but look
at it from my point of view. The Sox have been to the Series, the
Sox have won the Series...ok maybe it's been a while but the team has
done it at one point in the Sox history. In 44 years of franchise
history the Astros have never been to the Series, nor has a Series ever
been played in the city of Houston. I think we deserve it a
little more so to speak. Also, we have quite a few possible
retirees (Clemens, Bagwell, Biggio) on our team and they deserve the
right to have the win under their belt (ok, so Clemens played with the
Yankees who won but not as an Astro).
Also we have Oswalt on the mound tonight. In my opinion Oswalt is
the best pitcher we have. On the radio they sung this song (Think
Eye of the Tiger, Rocky movies (Dun, Dun, Dun, Dun, Dun, Dun, Dun, Dun,
Dun, DUUUUUUUUUN) ROY, ROY, ROY, ROY, ROY, ROY, ROY, ROY OS
WAAAAAAAAALLLLLTTTT!!! Now don't get me wrong, our whole pitching
staff is good, but Roy is awesome!
Now as for looking back and reassesing the first two games; what is the
point, they are over with. We lost, there is nothing we can do
now but LEARN from THAT. Yeah sure, I agree, we should have
pulled Wheeler off the mound sooner in game 2. I also agree that
we could have scored again in game 1, but it didn't happen and sitting
her going oh boo hoo poor me coulda shoulda woulda myself to death, I
am going to watch the next games with all the confidence I had watching
the first two games. Again, we are NOT going to lay down.
I am not a fair weather fan and I am not a bandwagon jumper (*coughs
and looks at ONE particular person who knows who he is*). If I am
going to route for the 'Stros it's going to be whether they are winning
it all or loosing it all, either way....THEY ARE STLL MY TEAM!!!
P.S. DREA - This isn't directed to you....that is why this is a PUBLIC
post, for all those people who are truely HATERS and fair weather
fans.... YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE!!!
